Do you have other stores across the country?
Currently, the only Rhythm Traders store is our Portland, OR location.
Do you repair hand drums / drum sets?
We repair most hand drums and drum sets. Stop by our repair page or give us a call for more information.
Why can’t I order everything on your site?
We like to use our website as an educational tool for our customers. We hope that the site will encourage our customers to visit our 5500 square foot showroom in NE Portland and check out our offerings in person. If you are not able to visit, we do ship merchandise that is unique to the us (Bossa Nova Percussion, Skin, Rope, & Rings) and items on a case-by-case basis. If you have a question about shipping a special item, contact us.
Can I buy something in your store and have it delivered to my house?
Absolutely. We can ship anything from the store for you. We calculate the shipping and handling cost, safely package the merchandise, and schedule the pickup/delivery.
Do you tune drums?
We do. We have some of the best tuners and techs in the business! Bring the drums in and we will tune them for free (if you purchase the heads from us). This goes for drum sets as well as djembes, congas, bongos or doumbeks.
Do you appraise instruments?
As part of the buy-in process, we do research the market value of instruments for the purposes of us purchasing the instrument or issuing store credit.
Do you rent drums?
Currently, we do not offer rental services.

Do you have practice spaces for rent?
We currently do not offer practice space rental.
Do you repair electronic drums?
We do not repair electronic drums. We do honor warranties of products purchased through us (valid warranty and receipt required, presented in person at our store).
What is your return policy (in-store and online)?
Do your gift certificates expire?
We will always honor a valid Rhythm Traders gift certificate. We do encourage use within a year of purchase.
I lost my gift certificate, what can I do?
Gift Certificates are like cash and must be present to be honored.
Do you sell guitars?
We do not sell guitars or any other instruments besides drums & percussion at Rhythm Traders.
Are you hiring/looking for instructors?
Rhythm Traders values talented educators as part of our core beliefs. We are always looking for awesome instructors to add to our world class lessons program.
Do you price match?
Rhythm Traders always tries to have competitive prices every day. In the odd chance that you find an item at a lower price, we will match it. We do not match prices from 3rd party vendors or private retailers. Price match must be between identical items and prices must be current.
Do you sell instructional materials?
Rhythm Traders has an extensive library of instructional material for rudimental, orchestral and world percussion.
What is your Special Order Policy?
Special Ordered Heads are NON-returnable. Cancelled Special Orders are subject to a 25% Restocking Fee.
What are the benefits of filling up a Rhythm Traders Punch Card?
With every purchase over $50, you will get a hole punch on our card (limit one hole punch per visit). Every 5 punches will get you a gift certificate, increasing up from $20 to $200! Once you complete the card, you will receive a lifetime discount of 10% off all drum set heads.
What is your Layaway Policy?
If you see something on the floor you would like to put on Layaway, you can pay 1/3rd the cost of the item, up front. We will then take it off the floor so nobody else will be able to purchase that item. You then have 90 days to pay off the rest of the item, and then it is yours to take home!
