Bossa Nova Percussion Solid Construction Bata Drums
Bossa Nova Bata Drums, offered in gorgeous Mahogany Stain, are made out of a solid plantation mahogany shell complete with chrome hardware. These differ fundamentally from the stave constructed bata drums of other major brands. Ours are lathe-turned from a single piece of wood, giving you authentic Cuban sound and unmatched durability. Our wood is sourced only from certified sustainable plantation mahogany farms in Thailand.
The traditional hoops hold down hand-selected buffalo skins, and the mechanical tuning system makes it easy to crank the skins tight for your Okonkolo, or loose and deep so your Iya can follow the dance steps.
Available in three sizes:
Onkonkolo 21" x 7" x 5.5" (small),
Itotole 24" x 10" x 7" (medium)
Iya 27" x 12.5" x 7.5" (large)

LP490, LP491, & LP492 Bata Drums
These LP Bata Drums are among the most professional set of bata drums available on the market today. Being big fans of cuban music, we've tried them all, from the fiberglass shell, goat skin head sets to hand made, rope tuned sets that we encountered being used in Santeria ceremonies during our trips to Cuba, and we recommend these for bata players looking for serious quality and ease of maintenance. These bata drums do not disappoint!
LP Batá Drums feature precision-made, gracefully tapered Siam Oak shells that create remarkable tones and great projection. They are available in three traditional sizes: Iyá, Itótele and Okónkolo
