The 14" x 6.5" "El Diablo" hammered steel snare drum speaks with an interesting tone. It still retains the sensitivity you're accustomed to in a steel shell but is much drier due to its aggressive hammering. With triple flanged hoops and 8 tube lugs this drum offers some very interesting tuning options that tend to bring out more of the tone while keeping the attack of steel. This drum is a definite positive addition to any snare drum library.
